Entourage Effect The entourage effect in cannabis refers to the composition of multiple cannabinoids such as CBD, THC, CBG, and CBC variants, terpenes, and flavonoids in one product. Research shows that when these are preserved in combination, they support each other's beneficial properties and provide a much better effect compared to when they stand alone in, for example, an isolate product.
The entourage effect underscores the importance of whole-plant products, where the entire spectrum of compounds in the cannabis plant is utilized, instead of isolating single compounds.
For the same reason, Canavita has opted out of isolate products, despite the fact that they are cheaper and less complicated to produce. Canavita prioritizes quality and effectiveness over bottom line and mass production.
CBD Legal CBD oil contains only up to 0.2% Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC, so you are not affected by the CBD product.
What is broad-spectrum CBD?
As mentioned, full-spectrum CBD contains all cannabinoids, which also includes the psychoactive cannabinoid called THC. Where broad-spectrum CBD differs from full-spectrum CBD is that it does not contain any traces of THC. All other flavonoids, terpenes, and cannabinoids are still present in broad-spectrum.
What is CBD isolate?
The CBD isolate product is the most processed CBD product. Here, the CBD molecule is isolated in the extracted distillate from the hemp and becomes completely white crystals. These crystals are typically mixed in an MCT or hemp oil, and then the CBD oil is made from Isolate. It is typically the cheapest product you can find, but also the least effective. For this reason, Canavita has opted out of producing CBD isolate oils and capsules.
Why choose full-spectrum CBD?
A full-spectrum CBD product is for you who want a premium version, i.e., the best possible product available on the market. Because it is more expensive and more complicated to produce, they are typically slightly more expensive than broad-spectrum CBD products and CBD isolate products. However, research in the field supports that the possibility of achieving the best possible effect is by using a full-spectrum CBD product. In other words, you get more value for your money by choosing a full-spectrum CBD product.
Full spectrum is therefore the type of CBD oil that contains all four elements.
CBD CBD is short for cannabidiol, which is one of the 113 cannabinoids (different substances) found in the hemp plant. CBD can be extracted from the hemp plant in various ways. Some use the crystals from the plant's flower, while others use the whole plant. CBD has the property that it can interact with the ECS - the endocannabinoid system and restore homeostasis (balance), and in this way potentially help with a wide range of disorders.
THC THC is the psychoactive substance in the hemp plant that can make you high. In cannabis products where the purpose is to achieve this effect, efforts are made to achieve as high a THC level as possible. It typically ranges between 70-90%.
CBD oils must not contain more than 0.2% THC according to current legislation. This also ensures that you can still drive a car, etc. when using CBD oil.
Terpenes Terpenes are the compounds in the cannabis plant (and other plants) that provide aroma and flavor. It is debated whether terpenes can have a therapeutic effect, as we know from scents in other plants and flowers. For example, lavender can have a calming effect, as we know from wellness environments.
Flavonoids The cannabis plant contains 20 different flavonoids. Flavonoids occur in many different plants, fruits, and vegetables. Like terpenes, it is debated whether flavonoids have a therapeutic effect. This study describes that flavonoids in cannabis can have anti-inflammatory properties, among other things.
